Deffskulls: Shokkin News...

With the victory against Jason and his space marines giving me plenty of rhino chassis, and proving to be a stonking game for the shok attack guns (never less than str 6, only misshaped once where they "oops, accidentally annihilated your vanguard squad instead of the tactical squad I was aiming at...") I have built not one but TWO mekboy junkas with shok attack guns. Sure, they aren't very good, sure they're overpriced... but they're one of my favourite guns in the ork army, and here is a way to legally get two more into a CAD... that's gotta be a good thing...

There wasn't too much forethought put into these, I had some basic wrecks with a few orky bits done already, all I did was make and add the turret mounted SAGs and make sure they had enough other accroutements to fit the bill as a mekboy junka... so in the vehicle above, it's a junka with a ram, ard case, sag and 3 rokkits...

While the other badboy is a junka with SAG, grabbing klaw, ard case and 3 skorchas... sag tellyporting into another vehicle, ramming them, then if they survive grabbing hold and blasting with three skorchas would be delicious against an open topped enemy... however that means almost certainly orks, which means the ram alone would probably obliterate the vehicle... still, good fun to think of...

Got a game lined up against Neil and his Khorne Daemonkin, there won't be many opportunities to loot from that army from how I know he runs them but we shall see... plus gives me a chance to field my shiny new models. Expect a shocking game from them naturally... one way or another...

Deffskuls: Iz youz satizfide wiv your kare?

You'd better be!

Always thought the mech robots ooked a little too comical, and the only way I felt I could make use of the model was by taking it along those lines... googly eyes and Betamax themed had crossed my mind, but in the end went for Futurama head looted Orks as the best showcase for this chassis...

This will count as a deffdredd with a skorcha, big shoota, and two power klaws. Bit of a jack of all trades and not my preference for running a deffdredd (my preference being DON'T) but I chose the rules to suit the model so this is how it goes...

As you can see he has a buddy, so at least I can run two of the things and hope one survives long enough to chop a marine in two before it get's power fisted to death...

The other one was modelled in homage to the other comical idea I had toyed with, which was to have the robots doing a "Danger Will Robinson" sort of thing...

More looted stuff on the painting table, hoping to get a couple extra things done in the next couple days...

Deffskulls: Da Grand Loot

Sit u H en report...

Wez ad a bust up wiv da tinpot tekkies, wid dem big dome-ed robot fings... we krumped a couple but were out dakkad. We need more dakka. Butt we did nick a cupple bitz wile da tekkies were messin wid some relic... eejits fussin over old tek while we nick da noo stuff!

Den we ad a fite wiv some beakies, we ad well more dakka dan dem an we won. We krumped lotsa dem boxis dey call rinos, and a skimma thing dat wuz longer dan yoosyul. Wun of da rinos blew up into a million sqillyon peesees, I don't fink we av enuff duks tayp for dat wun...

Dat shud get us started

Jezza

Or, in English, played Mech, lost, but killed about two robots  (out of eight!) then played marines, wrecked three rhinos, exploded a fourth, and wrecked a land speeder storm. Plenty for my lootas to get their teeth into ;)

In other news, I had a quiet afternoon so made a batman symbol for my kitchen window out of a cardboard box.

At night, the kitchen light projects a 20' wide Batman symbol onto the dodgy nightclub next door...

Now this started as a bit of fun, but since then the Police have been round the venue car park twice... once with sniffer dogs, and a second time just sat in a van waiting... this gives me three possible theories...

1) The Police believe someone is indicating where criminals carry out their activities (in a way we are) and are trying to follow the lead provided.
2) It's all just a coincidence.
3) There actually is a Portsmouth Batman, and the Police are trying to arrest the vigilante, but have so far managed to keep it out of the media... they think this signal is related to him, and are thus hoping to catch him when he comes to respond to the signal.

I really, REALLY hope the final one is right...
