A Knight Before Christmas

Twas the night before Christmas,
And all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring,
Apart from the geek running through the living room yelling "YIIIIPPPPPPEEEEE"

Ok, that doesn't scan so well, but here's the gist.

Fancy winning a Cerestus Knight for Christmas? Wait, let me rephrase, a Cerestus Knight of your choice, professionally painted in your choice of colour scheme... that sound better?

A friend and fellow gamer has had some rather poor news regarding the health of his partner, and they have young children, and our gaming group thought it may be nice to try to try to raise some money so perhaps they can have a little holiday or something, to try to raise their spirits and give them some good memories. Thus we are doing some activities at the club, but the also we are doing a raffle of a pro-painted Cerestus knight of the winners choice, issuing a raffle "ticket" for every £2 donated to a just giving page set up for this.

The winner will be announced on the 24th December, hence the name of the appeal.

Do please note that the guy we've got painting this ISN'T Santa... he can't perform miracles, bend space and time, have a team of elves at his disposal or any of the other marvellous things Santa can do. The winner will be announced in time for Christmas, however the Knight will most definitely NOT be in time...

On a brighter note, we have had a second prize donated by the staff of our local hobby store that shall remain unnamed for legal purposes (apparently they are not allowed to commit the store to charitable causes, but the staff wanted to help out off their own backs, which is nice) So not only are we raffling off a knight, we also have a copy of Age of Sigmar to give away. Say what you will about that game, it's not bad for £2...

Anyway, here is the all important link to the just giving page.

Topol ICBM (Counts as Deathstrike)

Continuing the resistance against our oppressors... I bring you, my SUPER WEAPON!

With two more of these to be constructed, soon we will win our freedom, not through the ballot box or through righteous struggle of arms, but from blowing our oppressors to kingdom come from several miles away. THAT shall be the grot way! There's no kill like overkill! Down with the Boyzoirse!

Comrade Ereyou.

*I'm probably gonna add some more rivets and plates on to this for decoration, but the basic structure of the vehicle I am happy with. Ok, the missile is a little off centre, but it's still Orkish engineering, I can handle that...

Katyusha Truk (Counts as Manticore)

A quick update on the Red Orktober project... I have produced the first of three Katyusha truks, to count as Manticores. I have the necessary materials (barring a couple rockets I hope to pick up this week) to make the other two.

I am still waiting on the arrival of a bunch of materials to start work on the Deathstrikes.

The Grot troops however, are all assembled and ready for undercoating. I have all that I require, and enough spare bodies that I can have one test model, and a Veteran Squad, although I don't know if they really fit the theme of the force.

I still have to produce 10 lascannons that can easily be integrated into my infantry squads, I'm thinking the guns on fixed emplacements on large bases that I can then add grot troopers on to may be my best bet. I won't be able to put a gunner in place, I'm going to have to make it look like it has a degree of autonomy and the grots are there just to guard the bloody thing...

However, overall I am very pleased with my progress, and while yes it is now November, I'm sticking with the Orktober Revolution theme, as it is named for when it started.

Down with the NOBility! Down with the Boyzoirse!
